Nizwa , Oman ages museum and birkt Al mooz
Overview
First, drive to Nizwa which is around one and a half hours from Muscat.
Visit Nizwa Fort which was built during the reign of Imam Sultan bin Saif bin Malik Al Yarubi (1649-1679 AD). Then visit Nizwa Souq for shoping. In Nizwa you can buy silver, souvenirs, various spices, Omani sweets and dates.
Then head over to Oman Across Ages museum. The museum seeks to introduce the various historical eras that the Sultanate of Oman witnessed, such as the geology of the land and the first inhabitants, all the way to the era of the blessed Renaissance.
After that, drive to Birkt Al Mooz and Falaj Al-Khatamayn. This is one of the five falaj in the Sultanate registered with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Heritage Site since 2006 due to its unique water system and the oldest irrigation engineering in more than 2,000 years. Next, visit an old village called Harat Al Siybani. It is an ancient fort on a rocky hill surrounded by palm.
At the end of the day, head back to Muscat.
